Our new DNALIMS system is online August 13, 2007.   Everyone needs to create a new login account and submit the sequencing request form through DNALIMS server.  The user names and passwords for FTP server do not work with DNALIMS system.  Please note that DNALIMS only take alphanumeric characters as sample and primer names.   Please print two copies of sequencing request forms.   Keep one for your record and send us one with your samples.  If you have any questions about our DNALIMS system,  please call us at 310 2800804.

You can download Laragen DNALIMS User Manual for more information.  Please follow these steps when submitting samples with DNALIMS:

1. Every user needs to create a new login account and send online request form to be able to download the sequences from DNALIMS server.   

2. Current clients need to manually input the existing client ID numbers in the client ID field when creating a new login account.

3. UCLA clients and other Metro Los Angeles clients who need pickup services please check the sample pickup radio button to ensure that the samples will be picked up on time.

4. DNALIMS only take alphanumeric characters as sample and primer names.

5. Please print two copies of sequence request forms.  Keep one for yourself and send one to us with your samples.

6. Service type:

• Full_Service: Clients provide bacterial cells and primers. Laragen will prepare plasmid DNA and perform DNA sequencing reactions.
• Purified_Template: Clients provide purified DNA templates and primers. Laragen will perform sequencing reactions.
• Ready-to-Run: Clients do their own sequencing reactions. Laragen will purify sequencing reactions and perform sequencing run with ABI3730.

7. For credit clients,  please do not enter your credit information in DNALIMS.  We will call for for credit information.

There are three benefits with DNALIMS system:

1. User friendly online sequencing request form with an excel file upload function.

2. User friendly sequencing results online retrieve system.

3. Most importantly,  faster turnaround time and minimized human error due to automated email notification and sequence uploading capability.
