Bacterial Identification 500 service (BacID500)

Laragen provides the following services with BacID500 service:

• Extract genomic DNA from fungal colony or culture,
• PCR amplify and sequence the first 500 bp of 16S rDNA with universal bacterial primers,
• Manually edit the consensus sequences from both strands,
• Identify the unknown bacterium using GenBank Databases,
• Align the unknown sequence with the top 10 matches at the species or genus level,
• Construct a phylogenetic tree using a neighbor-joining algorithm.
