Bacterial Identification1200 Service (BacID1200)

Laragen provides the following services with BacID1200:

• Extract genomic DNA from bacterial colony or culture,
• PCR amplify and sequence 1200 bp of 16S rDNA with bacterial universal primers,
• Manually edit the consensus sequences from both strands,
• Identify the unknown bacterium using GenBank Databases,
• Align the unknown sequence with top 10 matches at species or genus level,
• Construct a phylogenetic tree using a neighbor-joining algorithm.
